Dog Walk Club Endor Iron Furnace Greenway

Endor Iron Furnace Greenway in Sanford, site of our Dog Walk Club on Sunday 4/2Dog Walk Club is doing a hike at Endor Iron Furnace Greenway on Sunday 6/4.  Meet at the parking lot Kiwanis Family Park in front of the Splash Pad at 3 pm.  This is an out-and-back walk on paved surfaces through Sanford.  It’s a popular trail and we’ll be likely to see many families with dogs, strollers, bikes, skates, and scooters.  There are also some busy road crossings at Carbonton and Spring Lane, though it shouldn’t be too bad on Sunday.  We’ll meet at the Carbonton Road access point between 621 Carbonton road and the Route 1 overpass, head north to the end, then come back.  Then we’ll drive to Camelback Brewing Company for some well-earned tasty adult beverages and perhaps a snack.

About Camelback Brewing Company

Camelback Brewing is in the Spring Lane Galleria near Lowe’s Foods.  They have a nice outdoor patio in front of the brewery.  In addition to interesting beer, they have great pub food.

From their website:

Our brewery and taproom is the pinnacle of our brand. We invite everyone to come experience Camelback through our unique craft brews. Our taps are always rotating so you are sure to experience something new and different each time you walk into our taproom.

At Camelback we are always striving to craft the best beer we possibly can. We go to great lengths to produce the most flavorful combinations of specialty grains and unique hop varieties for our patrons to savor with each sip of our beer.

If you want to just meet us at the hangout spot, there are no judgments 😄

About Dog Walk Club

Dog Walk Club meets in Sanford on the 1st Sunday and in Southern Pines on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We vary the walks and hang-out spots- and yes we definitely take suggestions!

Jael and Dr. Meghan provide Fear Free training tips to help your dog walk nicely on a loose leash. We do not accept any dog on a slip lead or a choke, prong, or shock collar into our club. If your dog needs training, it will be with positive reinforcement, so don’t feed your dog before the walk, and bring lots of tasty treats. Jael conducts a private 2-session Leash Walk Boot Camp Training Course for anyone whose dogs are in need of more assistance.

Everyone is welcome to join us in this free community event. So grab a dog, and a human friend, and hang out with us!
