Dog Walk Club: San-Lee Park 5/7
Dog Walk Club will meet for a walk at San-Lee Park on Sunday, 5/7. We’ll meet at 3pm at the lower parking lot at 572 Pumping Station Road, Sanford NC 27330. We’re doing the hiking trail that circles the lake, which always has a nice view. This trail is considered easy but it’s really not- there are some short but steep inclines, lots of roots and rocks, and if it has rained recently, the mud will be slippery. This trail is completely shady though and the water makes it cool, which is nice. Definitely not stroller-friendly! Wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes. Our hangout spot for this walk is La Dolce Vita‘s covered patio.
Here’s a little about La Dolce Vita:
Specializing in authentic Italian Pizza! At La Dolce Vita, we believe in simple, hand-crafted pizza that embodies true Italian taste. Similarly, Italians believe great food requires the finest ingredients – and so do we! Nothing pairs better with hand-crafted pizza than NC craft beer. 16 taps pouring a brew for every palate. Centrally located in the heart of Sanford’s Historic District.
This is one of the best places to eat in Sanford!
If you want to just meet us at the hangout spot, there are no judgments 😄
About Dog Walk Club:
Dog Walk Club meets in Sanford on the 1st Sunday and in Southern Pines on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We vary the walks and hang-out spots- and yes we definitely take suggestions!
Jael and Dr. Meghan provide Fear Free training tips to help your dog walk nicely on a loose leash. We do not accept any dog on a slip lead or a choke, prong, or shock collar into our club. If your dog needs training, it will be with positive reinforcement, so don’t feed your dog before the walk, and bring lots of tasty treats. Jael conducts a private 2-session Leash Walk Boot Camp Training Course for anyone whose dogs are in need of more assistance.
Everyone is welcome to join us in this free community event. So grab a dog, and a human friend, and hang out with us!
