Dog Walk Club Wyemouth Woods 3/19

For this Dog Walk Club excursion, we are doing about an hour-long loop in Wyemouth Woods in Southern Pines.  We’ll meet at the Visitor Center on the porch to the right of the main entrance at 3 pm on Sunday, March 19.   The trails are dirt with some steps but are well-maintained and without steep inclines.  The area is not typically very busy so this should be an easier walk for dogs who get distracted.  They require all dogs to be on a leash of no longer than 6 feet.  Wyemouth Woods is a really pretty walk.

Afterward, we’ll drive to The Sly Fox Pub at 795 Broad Street in Southern Pines for drinks +/- food on their lovely patio.  The Sly Fox Pub serves British classics with an innovative twist alongside a wide selection of craft brews in Southern Pines, NC.  A proper British Gastropub in the midst of the Carolinas.

About Dog Walk Club

Dog Walk Club meets in Sanford on the 1st Sunday and in Southern Pines on the 3rd Sunday of the month.  We vary the walks and hang-out spots- and yes we definitely take suggestions!

Jael and Dr. Meghan provide Fear Free training tips to help your dog walk nicely on a loose leash. We do not accept any dog on a slip lead or a choke, prong, or shock collar into our club. If your dog needs training, it will be with positive reinforcement, so don’t feed your dog before the walk, and bring lots of tasty treats.  Jael conducts a private 2-session Leash Walk Boot Camp Training Course for anyone whose dogs are in need of more assistance.
