Activity Matz Fast Food Fun Level 2 Plush Dog Puzzle Toy Enrichment and Slow Feeder

I recommend that no dog is fed from a simple bowl for every meal.  Dogs need to explore their environment with their noses and mouths, and snuffle mats are a great outlet for that behavior.

From the manufacturer

  • KEEPS DOGS BUSY: The Fast Food Fun Activity Mat keeps your dog busy with three physical and mental challenges.
  • REDUCES DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR: Fights boredom by exercising your dog’s mind, keeping them from exhibiting behaviors like chewing, digging, and excessive barking.
  • 3 WAYS TO PLAY: Increase the challenge by incorporating more hidden treat pouches and closures.
  • NON-SLIP & WATER-RESISTANT BASE: Easy to clean and wipe off.
  • THIS IS NOT A CHEW TOY: No toy is indestructible. Do not leave toys with unsupervised pets. Remove and replace the toy if damaged.

Almost a week and not destroyed

I got this as a mental stimulus. Turns out, fido doesn’t care about treats inside. All fido wants (who is food driven) is the soft carrot and beet to chew on. We are almost a week in and they have stuffing inside. The beet is inside two velcro flaps for another difficulty level.

    Furry friends favorite

I recently purchased the Outward Hound Nina Ottosson Activity Matz Fast Food Fun Game Plush Dog Puzzle Mat for my furry friend and I have to say, it’s been a hit!The mat is well-designed and made of high-quality materials. The plush fabric is soft and comfortable for my dog to play on, while the puzzle pieces are sturdy and durable. The mat is also easy to clean, which is a big plus for any pet owner. What I love most about this puzzle mat is how it keeps my dog mentally stimulated and entertained. The puzzle pieces are designed to challenge your dog’s problem-solving skills and keep them engaged for longer periods of time. This is especially helpful for dogs who get bored easily or need extra mental stimulation. The Fast Food Fun Game design is perfect for my dog, who loves to sniff out hidden treats. The mat has multiple compartments where I can hide treats or kibble, and my dog has a blast trying to find them all. It’s a great way to keep him entertained and mentally stimulated, while also rewarding him with treats.Overall, I would highly recommend the Outward Hound Nina Ottosson Activity Matz Fast Food Fun Game Plush Dog Puzzle Mat to any pet owner looking for a fun and engaging way to keep their furry friend entertained. It’s a well-designed, high-quality product that provides hours of entertainment for both pets and their owners

My smart, 2-year old Husky loves this!

I was not sure how much fun this would be for a smart, adult dog. I was also not sure how indestructible it would be. But I have to say, this is her favorite puzzle and it keeps her busy quite a while! I do keep an eye on her and take it away when she’s found all the treats. It is more sturdy than I expected, but I think she could probably tear it up if she was bored enough. She hasn’t damaged it at all so far, unlike the plastic puzzles which she also likes- those are full of teeth prints now. It is more challenging than I expected also, because she has to figure out the velcro, and then get her nose into all the pockets to find treats, and even the snuffle cabbage is harder to get everything out of than it looks like it would be. I think this is a great puzzle for dogs of all ages and I would definitely recommend it.

    Could be more robust

My dog, a springerpoo, loved this and still uses it but tore it on the first time using trying to get a treat out of the middle pocket. Over the next few times he pulled the hot dog and doll face off. He does love what’s left of it so for us it’s worth the purchase.

Got this for the family pet for her birthday and she loved it. She was pawing and snuffling and her tail was wagging so much. She really enjoys it and was digging at it. It was so cute.

Kept my dog busy for more than a treat alone would and she looks forward to sniffing them out

    Not for big dogs

I liked the concept of this, I think it would be great for small dogs but it’s just too small for my Golden. Takes him a few minutes to find all the treats. Going to return this and buy a bigger one!

Great concept, but doesn’t quite work

I thought this would be a great time for my vizslas, when it arrived I put some mini milk bones in it and called them over. They snuffled for a minute and then the older one picked it up by the corner and shook it until most of the treats came out and then the younger one took it and shook the last couple out. They ate the treats and then ran off, I swear I heard them laughing. It needs weights in the base or something.

    Highly recommend

My puppy loves this enrichment mat! I hide treats and dog food in all the pockets and folds, and it keeps him entertained trying to find all of it. He learned to pull out the carrot and radish to get deeper into the pockets. And he had to figure out how to open the Velcro section. Highly recommend for high energy dogs who need lots of stimulation!

    Puppy’s favorite

We have a 10 week old Havanese puppy and he loves this mat. It’s the only thing he’ll pay attention to for more than 2 minutes. We put 2-3 tiny treats in the pockets and it definitely gets his attention.

    Not indestructible

My 10-pound, 11-month-old pup (Bichon-poodle mix) had a blast finding the hidden treats. But after that, within a few minutes, she chewed up a corner.

    It’s a favorite!

My 10 week old puppy loves this play mat! I hide her kibble in the “French fries” and she enjoys sniffing it out. She seems to like chewing on the pockets and flaps and her sharp little teeth have caused no issues. She loves it so much she’ll even nap on it!

Excellent rainy day activity for your dog

Food puzzles are fabulous for your dog both physically and mentally. This toy is very durable and washes up great. I thought for sure the french fries would be gone in a second but they have lasted through many dogs at my shelter.

Our dog loves this! We use it to feed her a portion of her kibble twice a day. It keeps her occupied and she has fun playing with the veggies when she’s done eating. It has stood up to feedings and playing outside of meal time.

    For smaller dogs

I bought this for my 70lb mutt that’s built like a pit. He’s a gentle chewer and likes interactive puzzle toys. His nose couldn’t fit in a could of pockets so it wasn’t really a fun toy for him. However, I gave it to my dad for his Chihuahua mix and she liked it and it worked great. It might even work for a cat!

    Not as expected

I purchased this product to help with my dog’s boredom. The “grass” is so short that you really can’t hide anything in it and this “puzzle” was the main reason I purchased the product. The pockets are too small and deep to be able to hide treats in them that he can reach. I have had to get creative in order to use this product. I would not buy again.

Hard to clean, pockets too small

When the treats crumble in the pockets or in the hidden slots, they are hard to clean. I much prefer the puzzle toys made of plastic since they are easier to clean. Also, the pockets are useless because my dog’s muzzle does not fit in the pockets so there’s not a good way for her to get the treats out of there.

    No challenge for my puppy

The french fry item does not hold treats. The slide out hot dog just slides right out there’s no challenge for the dog. It’s a cute toy but it needs to be developed before it serves as a puzzle or mental challenge.

    Not long-lasting

This is cute, and in theory maybe it lasts longer than two days.If you’re looking for a durable, long lasting toy, look somewhere else. This is not it.I would not recommend.

    Just the right gift.

So glad I found this gift for our 13 year old Lab. Over the years she’s had pull toys, balls and tons of toys to chase around. These days she’s slowed down…arthritis is setting in and her ability to move around is a bit limited. I love that she can play with this mat, peak her interest and curiosity without having to chase anything. I can’t speak to how durable this would be for a teething puppy….I don’t thing there’s a toy that could withstand that. My German Shepherd chewed through my kitchen drywall when he was a puppy.

    My chihuahua loves it

This is the first enrichment toy we have gotten. He is about ten and only enjoyed squeaky toys prior to this mat. He is more friendly to other dogs and braver now like putting his paws in the water. I’m not sure if it’s because of this toy and other trainings or just a coincidence, but it definitely adds some joy to his day

    Great snuffle mat!

This is a super cute puzzle. My dog loves working at it to get the kibble out from the different pockets and in the “lettuce” area, too. Whenever I bring it out, he gets so excited and can’t wait for me to fill it and put it down. He has a lot of fun with it. I partly got it because I wanted to slow down his meals and it does help, but only a little bit because he cray cray. It would be nice if there were suctions or something on the bottom to secure it to make it even more challenging and less frustrating. Sometimes if he has a few left he will just whip the mat around to get them out.All in all, this is cute and effective and the pup loves it 🙂

    No match for menace

We got the fast food sniffing activity map for our dog. I have to say it’s really well constructed and excellent quality. The pockets make it easy to make the treats harder to find. The issue is my 18 pound adopted schnoodle mix is a brute and grabs the entire mat in his mouth and shakes it viciously until all his treats fall out. Thus kinda defeating the purpose of it.

My puppy LOVES this! She loves it so much that she has torn it apart looking for hidden treats.Great concept, adorable design, just not durable for over-excited puppy teeth. I will try and patch it- she loves it that much!
