Anti-stumble Design: The small ramp installed at the bottom of the pet gate not only protects the floor but also reinforces the gate. Furthermore, it allows for the smooth passage of items like push carts, minimizing the risk of stumbling.

Pressure Mounted with Ease: Attach pressure bolts on both sides of the pet gate for cats with no need for tools or drilling, ensuring protection for the wall surface. An adult can install and uninstall this cat gate for doorway independently in just 15 minutes by following the user manual.

Hardware Mount for Permanent Mounting is provided.

    Excellent versatile design

This mega tall gate has been instrumental for the success of many DIY projects. It’s way taller than most baby gates which cats can easily jump over. It doesn’t damage the walls because you don’t need to screw in or permanently affix any pieces. It’s pressure mounted and can be moved from place to place as needed. I used it to block off a hallway when painting the walls. The cats could see what I was doing without being underfoot or putting themselves in danger. Then I used the gate as an actual door when I removed an old bedroom door & replaced it. The project took more than a day, and this tall gate kept the cats out of the area until it was completed. Currently, it is being used to block off the laundry room, which is a room off of another room but without a door. Sometimes my cats like to go sit on fresh from the dryer warm towels in the laundry basket, but one cat started carrying items from the unwashed laundry basket all over the house. The tall gate became an instant lifesaver & immediately put an end to that problem! The mini cat door at the bottom is especially convenient when you want to allow cats access into a space, a feature not found on most gates. You can just open the mini door without having to move or disassemble the entire gate. If you don’t need the top portion and want to use a shorter gate, you can leave it off or add it back as necessary. The tall cat gate is very strong, stays put on the wall, without moving, even if the gate door is open & closed daily. We put it to use since first unboxing months ago and have been using it everyday without any problems.

    Worth it for annoying cats

I like to sleep with my bedroom door open to get some air circulating, but my cats get very wild and hyper in the middle of the night and often wake me up when they come into the room. I’ve tried several different methods to keep them out, including shock mats and spikes, but they always learn to navigate around any of those obstacles. This pet gate is the perfect solution, finally! It covers the entire doorway, making it impossible for the cats to get in when closed, while still allowing plenty of air circulation. It comes with extension pieces for the top, which ensure that even the most athletic cat can’t jump over it. The gate was easy to install without any drilling, great for renters! It has stayed firmly planted where I installed it, even when I’ve accidentally bumped into it. This gate is a small price to pay for peaceful sleep.

    Great if you foster animals

I’ve found that this gate is a fantastic solution for keeping animals separated, especially when I’m fostering kittens. They have a knack for getting over baby gates, but this gate prevents that while still allowing interaction with the household. I particularly love that it’s marketed to contain “flying cats” – a humorous touch that reflects its effectiveness. Installation was a breeze, and it seems quite sturdy. While it might not win any beauty contests, its practicality more than makes up for it. If you need a reliable way to keep your animals separated, I highly recommend Whiskey.

I ordered this product because I have no way to keep the cats from my fabric room – the plant space out the windows needs painting – but I had a cat almost escape to the roof – yikes! I need a way to keep them from the room while I paint. I can see it will be handy no matter where I can keep cats out – it is easy to install and use – a great product.

Keeps things in! Keeps things out!!!

This product is phenomenal once installed. The only reason it was given 4 stars is the instructions are a little vague on the mounting options so you kinda have to feel your way through it. It so sturdy and functional for a pet and child home. The pet gate is able to be set at multiple heights to allow for pets access but not children.

    “Cat Jail”

I’ve been using this type of pressure gate for my dogs for years, but I needed this tall version to block off my daughter’s cat when she visits. This style of gate, when installed properly, is just as secure as a permanently-mounted version—but I can take it down easily when it’s not needed.I would recommend buying additional wall protectors (

    like these

), because I’ve found that the normal round ends on these pressure gates will make dents in walls and woodwork. The wall protectors spread out the force and they give a very secure install.Realize, this gate is super-ugly so if you don’t have a desperate need to corral jumping cats then it’s probably not worth the investment or the downgrade of your decor. I’m fine with it for sporadic cat visits with my daughter, but no way I’d want a “jail door” on display permanently.

    Contains my giant goofy cat…

Wow, this gate is substantial! I have a very determined and very large Maine Coon cat who is convinced that he needs to help me cook every meal by sitting on the stove. For his safety (and my sanity), I decided to give this extra-tall pet gate a try. The cat has tried to push and climb it, but it hasn’t budged at all. The door can swing either way, and it’s smooth. The lock is easy to use. The kitchen is now much calmer and safer for both of us.The gate is pressure mounted, so I didn’t have to put holes in my walls or woodwork. It has extension panels included, so the width can be as much as 40.6 inches or as little as 29.5 inches. The height can also be adjusted from 55.1 inches to 71 inches. I think 55.1 inches would be more than high enough for most animals, but I needed the height extension for my goofy giant cat. The gate should work just as well with a tyrannical toddler of the human variety.

Extra Tall Design – Customizable Width & Height – Pressure Mounted – Threshold Ramp Included

I don’t even know where to start with this gate. It’s just absolutely fantastic! The design is amazingly sturdy, and the way this can be customized makes it so practical and convenient. I love that this is pressure mounted, so we don’t have to drill into any walls or surrounding posts to install it. For us, that makes it a lot more versatile, because we can easily move it if we find a different place that we’d like to use it. Depending on how many extension panels you use, the width can vary between about 29.5 inches and 40.6 inches. Without any extensions, it can fit a standard doorway just fine (see photo next to a door for size reference.) Also, there is an optional height extension panel that can increase how tall this is. Without that top panel set, the gate is a very adequate 55.1 inches. When you add the top section, it reaches a height of around 71”, which is utterly amazing. I don’t think we’ve ever had a pet that could jump that high, so we may not even need that top extension set. There are some other really wonderful features about this gate system. It has a cat door at the bottom which can slide open or closed pretty easily, so there’s no need to open the whole gate if you want to let a small pet through. Also, they included a plastic threshold ramp that fits under the bottom bar on the floor. I am so grateful that this was included, because otherwise, this could be a trip hazard. With that ramp we can easily step over the gate and also roll a stroller through it.Overall, I’m am more than pleased with the quality and versatility of this gate system. It’s going to be a very welcome addition to our household to keep pets out of areas they shouldn’t be, and it can also be used as a baby gate to keep toddlers and small children safe from rooms they shouldn’t be in. There is nothing I don’t like about this product, and it really seems to be well made and very sturdy.

I like the cats, I just can’t have them in my shop. They kill my 3d prints.

COMOMY 71″ Extra Tall Pet Gate for Cats, 29.5-40.6″ Extra Wide Cat Gate with Adjustable Cat Door, Pressure Mounted Easy Walk Through Pet Gate with Door for Stairs, Doorways, Kitchen(Black)First impressions: A heavy box, it’s quite large as well. The gate seems well made. It’s made of good thick materials. The finish is nice, it’s even and smooth. The hardware seems sturdy and easy to use.Installation/setup: Follow directions, they are pretty easy and straightforward. There is a video on the product page if you need more info.Final thoughts: The gate went up pretty easily. I got this for the exterior door to my hobby shop. I don’t have cats myself but there are some neighborhood cats that are way friendly and like to come in without invitations lol. I got this to keep them out of my shop as I have a new 3d printer and they are fascinated with it. I’ve had two prints ruined already because the cats won’t leave it alone. I like the cats, I just can’t have them in my shop. 3d prints take hours and hours and I can’t be standing over the machine all the time to keep the cats out. I live in the southwest and I like the fresh air and I leave the door open unless it’s too hot. I like this and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star – I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars – I don’t recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars – It’s passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars – Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars – Product that I totally recommend.

    Perfect for sly cats

We ordered this to keep on our front door to our new apartment. Our cats are very curious, and like getting out and getting themselves lost. This is perfect because it has a small door for pets to go in and out, while also having a door that lets hoomans go in and out. It’s very straight forward to put up, and it feels very sturdy. I’m pretty sure our cat’s won’t be able to defeat this oppurresor!

    Easy to install, works perfectly

I was worried about my cats being able to jump this, but nope. They are almost 2 years old but we didn’t even need the “top” piece, the gate itself was tall enough to prevent them from being able to jump. The door swings open to either side, and the small cat gate at the bottom is easy to lift and latch, though as we are using it as a barrier to keep the cats contained/out of spaces we don’t want them to go, we don’t tend to use the cat gate part. It would be good if you have a larger dog/child that you are trying to separate however. I also like that you can “customize” this in a way, if you need to add more/less bars on the side, depending on the width of where you are placing it, it’s super easy to do so. No squeaking or sticking, latch to keep the door closed works perfectly, zero complaints.

    good gate

This gate surprised me at how easy it is to install. I thought it would be hard to install because the gate would be high, which would make it hard to adjust the pressure to keep the gate balanced. However, since gate comes in 2 parts, the main gate and the extension, the main gate itself is only about shoulder height so it wasn’t that hard to adjust the pressure as I thought. The extension would be make it higher than my head so I really don’t think any of my pet would be able to jump over such a height. I end up using the extension to temporarily block my dogs when I need to. The extension is not pressure mounted but I can just use a chair to keep it in place. As for the main gate, it’s very easy to adjust and use. I like that it’s pressure mounted so I don’t need to drill holes on the wall and I can move it to another spot when need to. The gate is a quite big and it takes up quite a bit to space when not in use, which is the only downside. Other than that, it’s a good gate and works very well. I’m happy with it.

    keeps my wallaby outta trouble!

i have a cute wallaby, and sadly you can’t potty train these little guys, but this is a perfect setup to keep him confined in a section of the house during the cold days, and when he just wants to hang out they can jump about 6ft high so he doesn’t even bother with that here

Being 71″ tall keeps effectively my Dane out of trouble. Suitable for doorways, hallways and stairs. Being that its an extra tall gate, its a self close and one hand operation. If you have pets and babies at home, this would be a perfect high and wide safety gate.

    Heavy Duty Gate

This heavy duty gate is extra tall and extra wide that is made to fit many rooms and especially my play room. The gate is made of tough and strong metal steel that will not break or bend easily and will last a very long time. The bars are big enough to see through but pets or my baby cannot squeeze through it. The pet gate allowed my dog to go through the gate without me having to open up the main gate which is a convenience. The gate does not required any drilling so assemble was much simpler to do without leaving permanent holes in the wall. The gate open nice and smooth without getting caught or jamming on anything. The gate is well designed and made with great craftsmanship.

I needed something to prevent my cat from getting into a certain room and this is perfect. He can jump really high so traditional gates just don’t cut it. This one is tall enough to keep him out even without the additional pieces you can add to the top. This gate is pressure-mounted which I love and easy and quick to install. Looks nice too. Thumb’s up!

Extra tall for dogs that can jump

This baby gate is the tallest I have ever seen which is absolutely amazing for dogs that can jump right over a traditional gate. I do think having two people install it is better than just installing it yourself, I don’t think I could install it by myself because of how tall it is. The gate is very easy to operate once installed and can fit a range of door sizes.

This gate is super sturdy and tall! It is well made, and not too difficult to set up. And it’s perfect for kittens and puppies, as it is impossible for them to get through. The best gate for my kitties!

This gate is the best way to keep our cats safe while they are learning to be inside house cats. The gate keeps them safe in their cat room but they can see the living room to get more comfortable. It is so easy to open and close. The gate lock is easy to use. Gate is strong. We have the additional top piece on for the additional height. Love the way it attached so it is one tall door. Husband attached it in the wall, very secure. Perfect fit and perfect in every way.

    Pricey but worth it

In the past, when I’ve had to keep a pet separated from the rest of the house or from other animals, I resorted to using multiple wood and mesh gates to block off the entire door. Effective, but a massive pain if you have to go in and out, and you run the risk of a cat jumping in (or out) while trying to wrestle the gates back in place.I checked out interior screen doors and found they were a) expensive and b) almost impossible to find in the size I needed; plus, who wants to permanently install a screen door in their house? This gate was exactly what I needed. Sturdy, easy to install/uninstall and best of all, you can just walk right through. No more struggling with multiple gates. Amazing! Because of the side extensions it will fit a variety of doorways, and the additional mesh barrier on top is really reassuring that no cat is going to get over it.The latch is simple: lift to open, drop to lock, easy to use with one hand. I like the little locking mechanism for added security. The pet door at the bottom can be latched closed, or opened for a variety of heights (say, if you wanted your cats to be able to use it, bit not your larger dog). I feel like the designer thought of everything, including a ramp for wheelchair users. Like I said, it’s pricey, but for me it’s worth every penny.

Great Gate But Poor Delivery Service From Amazon

The door gate works beautifully and was easy to install by myself in a short amount of time (read all of the directions before you start). However, the delivery service left the oversized package at my local Post Office instead of bringing it to my front door like they usually do; my Post Office is a bit of a drive from my house where I had to go pick it up (or they would return it to Amazon!). I don’t know WHY they thought that the Post Office would bring it to me as the Postman said it is not their policy to deliver such a large package as this!!!Otherwise, the gate is wonderful.

Don’t let the price scare you. This is the most amazing pet gate ever in the history of ever.

I’m a volunteer foster for a local rescue, which means I’ve got random assortments of kittens or cats in my house all the time. I converted my gigantic FROG room into a cat room (since that room is so huge, it’s useless), but there has always been a problem with gating that room. Because it has steps and a railing going down into the room, cats can jump onto the railing and then just leap over any gate. Even tall ones. So, I put two gates in, one upside down on top of the other, which just meant I bumped my head at least once a day. And because smaller cats can squeeze through every other gate I’ve gotten (or, in the case of the 21 pound big boy, push through it), I can’t just leave the door open and count on the gates. So, they wind up with the door closed and not engaging with the world. Finally, I said I had to do something better. This gate has totally changed my life. Seriously, I love it. Every time I push up that marvelously smooth latch and walk in without stooping, I fall in love a little bit more.My rating system is + or -, with sometimes a +- thrown in.+ Construction: This thing is a marvelous beast. It’s solidly made and exceptionally well engineered. Assembly was flawless and simple, and I installed it into the door frame with zero hitches. Everything about this, from the hardware to the packaging care, is top-notch.+ Ease of Use: Oh, what a dream! No more squeezing and yanking on latches. Just push the lock with your thumb, if you’ve locked it, then lift the latch with no effort and it opens as smoothly as magic. Closing it is a little more tricky, since just flinging it back will make it slide out of the latch and open the other way. Still, it’s a marvel.+ Bar Spacing: Yes! Finally, a gate that a sneaky 4 month old kitten can’t get out of! The bars are very close together, so no cat who isn’t a tiny kitten is going to sneak on by. Very small kittens are contained in a Zampa and only out for play when supervised, so I have no worries on that score, but if you do have an 8 week old kitten, they might get their head stuck, so exercise caution there.+ Height: Perfect! That extender at the top was super easy to install and doesn’t upset the balance of the door one bit. And it works. No one, not even the athlete jumper cat, has been able to scale that edifice.+ Engagement: The best part of all is that now the cats can engage with what’s beyond the door. Most of the cats I get are here for socialization, so new things scare them. Even the first time they hear a toilet flush can be a fearful thing. Separated only by a gate, they can get used to the world of humans while still feeling safe in their “territory.” It’s been a game changer for the two shy boys, who are now far more active in seeking contact with others. No one feels closed off or locked up or alone. What’s not to love about that?

    Perfect and easy to use

We wanted to find a way to block the cats out of the kitchen area, but needed a tall gate because one of them is very determined and good at jumping high. We initially tried to build our own solution but it was just too much time and effort. There aren’t very many pet gates this tall, so this particular gate was just perfect for us. It’s a bit expensive but for the convenience, it feels worth it! The locking mechanism is easy to use, and the door swings smoothly both ways. We picked this one over the other tall pet gates because it has a convenient little pet door at the bottom too. This was actually the second pet door we tried—we tried another brand that was slightly cheaper but it was missing the middle range extender and had worse instructions. It’s pretty sturdy so far. I think if the cats tried to climb or body slammed the gate, it would hold! I’m not sure it would hold up against a child pushing though.Would totally recommend getting this pet door and wish we got it sooner! I would also recommend getting wall mount protectors as well (not included) to protect your walls. Nothing wrong with our walls but just good to prevent damage.

This was a really good purchase, I had some cat issues to figure out and this did the trick. I was tired of unzipping screen. Not only that but I put a SureFlap microchip pet door in the pet opening which was very easy to do. Works very well for my needs.

You get what you pay for…

This is a quality gate. The first gate I purchased my six month old kitten EASILY scaled. It was 51.18 inches tall. This gate was my second purchase and I wish it would have been my first. The first gate I purchased was not bad quality, but I didn’t realize how good THIS gate is in comparison until I purchased it. It arrived packaged very well. It is constructed well and it is sturdy. You can feel the quality. The instructions were not bad and I had no problem installing the gate itself, but I did have difficulty figuring out how to put the topper on it that adds additional height protection. It is not rocket science, but for someone who is not good at putting things together, the instructions could have been slightly better (for me!). My cat is able to jump to the top of the gate (see photo), but because of how the topper is designed, he cannot scale the gate. It is impossible. It is designed perfectly. My kitten is young and I do not want him in certain areas of the house yet for safety reasons. Now I can leave the house and know he is safe. Peace of mind is everything for me! Don’t make the same mistake I did and purchase another gate first. This gate is worth every penny and you will be glad you purchased it.

    Perfect for my needs

The media could not be loaded.

I’ve had this for 3 months now and it’s worked great to keep cats out of one area of my home. Easy to install and I like the way it latches and opens so easily. The only thing I’d do differently is make the extension on top into 3 parts so you don’t accidentally hit your head on it if you’re not careful (see video). I had another gate before this that was 51” tall and had a cat who could jump it. Highly recommend this gate!

    Works decently well

I had to make adjustments in my setup because all the pieces didn’t fit exactly how the instructions suggested. I wasn’t able to fit the extension on either side of the gate but only on one side. Doing this created a gap that my cat could fit through so I had to add the extra bar that was provided, it wasn’t intended to be used this way, but It works well and keeps my cats from fighting.

I DREADED opening this box because I thought it would be heavy and complex, and didn’t think I could install it myself (as an older lady). However, took me 15″ once I opened it up, and I had no problem carrying it up a flight of stairs and installing it (I did the “pressure mount” installation, NOT the bolting it to the wall option as it’s temporary just to acclimate new pets to my house). Highly recommend!

Would be perfect if you could communicate with the company

We foster cats/kittens and wanted to give them more freedom but not the whole house. This is perfect except we needed to add two more poles or an extra extension to have the flexibility to move from bedroom door to hallway. Emailing company is pointless. They do not comprehend English and fail to understand what we are asking. We just go in circles with them. If you want a quality gate for doorway and this fits your opening we highly recommend. It would be perfect if we had the opportunity to add another two poles.

    Animal Separation

I have several cats in my home that don’t get along so this has been a huge help with keeping them separated without closing off doors. My hope is that they will grow to love each other since they can see one another.

    Best in its class

I researched the best option for our cats’ rivalry for a long time. This was the best option for our house. It works great. My only complaints would be:• The handle is a little noisy and mildly awkward• If your hallway is on the exact centimeter between the two width options this product provides, you will have difficulty getting it to fit.Otherwise, great product. Very sturdy and has worked to divide their territories.

    Works For My High Jumper

I like that my rambunctious Bengal cat hasn’t been able to climb or jump this fence. It is a bit if a chore to put together but not horrible. Would suggest a second person to help. I did it by myself.Price is much higher than I had anticipated.Main point is it works!

    It works!

I built a catio for my kittens, but because I’m a renter, I needed something easily removable that wouldn’t cause damage to the property. To my surprise, my cats haven’t tried to climb/leap over this gate. And it’s easy to open and close. Very happy!

    Love this gate

Definitely keeps the cat out of the kitchen. He could jump right over the one this replaced. I didn’t need the width extensions. It’s too bad there’s not an option to purchase it without them and I do wish it would auto-close.

    Seems very study

I rated installation a three because I tried to do it myself in an over-sized doorway. I have two 3/4″ boards on each side of the doorway to take up a little more space, and getting this whole thing in place was a struggle. I did not nail anything down. That would have helped but I didn’t want to mark up the existing door frame. Also having one more person to assist would have been a big help. Otherwise, installation went fine, maybe a half hour, and the product seems very sturdy and easy to use.

    Love it

So easy to put up. My cats are constantly on my counters so I found this and bought to keep them out of the kitchen. They hit it cause they can’t go in but this fur mom loves it

    Missing Components

This gate was just the thing we needed for our two kittens that have proven to be good escape artists. Unfortunately, the box that arrived had missing screws and nuts. I didn’t want to repack and haul this big box into UPS so I just purchased the missing items at HomeDepot. There should have been better quality control in the packing of the items.

    The Quality is INCREDIBLE

Wow, where to start with this! This gate is so incredible. Keeps pets out, keeps kids from falling down the stairs. Im amazed at the ease of install. The quality of the parts was incredible. It is extremely sturdy and looks great in any space. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with kids or pets that they don’t want upstairs.

    Cat Door

Comony 71″ keeps the cats from roaming the house. Took me a couple of hours to set up as the door entry has floor mopboards making the top opening wider than the bottom. Was really grateful for the extra side pieces to make a great fit and an unescapable cat door!

    Measure your opening 3 times

This is a wonderfully made product, the person that told me they had measured my hall opening obviously eyeballed it. I’m sad I have to return it.

    Keeps bunnies separated

This works well to keep a Holland Lop on one side and a bigger bunny on the other side. A chinchilla can get through if they try, but the bunnies can’t.

    Missing piece

It works great to introduce pets to each other and keep cats out of an area but there was a pole missing from the cat door and I emailed the seller. I hoped they would send the piece but They never responded so I had to return the gate.

    Extra tall metal gate

My husband cut the zip tie by accident before reading the instructions. Luckily he found out right away and used one of the extra zip ties included in the package. Other than that, the installation was easy and quick. There are also video tutorials online for people who prefer visual instructions. The gate is 55.1” tall with three extension panels that can extend it to 71”. The gate opens in both directions which is really convenient. So far we are all very happy with the gate except the cat.

    Big and beautiful

This gate is huge! Which is exactly what I wanted. I am using this on my front porch because I don’t have a door and it keeps cats and animals out while keeping my dogs in. Insulation is really simple, all these gates are the same. It is really sturdy and I like that. It comes with anti trip ramp for the bottom because I trip on my other ones constantly. You just lift up to open the door and you can even lock it. Overall, it’s really nice and I definitely recommend it.

    Sturdy and easy to install

This gate is exactly what i was looking for but had no clue it existed. Love the height and the extra piece at the top. I have dogs and cats that like to climb and jump and this is exactly what i need to keep them contained for events or when we have guests.

    Easy to install

This gate is amazing to keep dogs and cats out of my craft room. I have some foster kittens, and the narrow gaps are perfect to keep them out also. My husband installed it, and it didn’t take long. It’s really tall, which is nice to keep out my older cats also. I love that it has a door that opens either way.

    A lifesaver.

Going through remodel and needed to be able to keep our three cats safe and out of the way. Alternative was to stay at a hotel or board them. This door made it possible for all of us to stay at home. Fairly easy for hubby to install at the top of the stairs. Works perfectly and very well built.
