    Smells Like a Country Field😉

This is a Small Bag of Air Dried Premium Natural Dog Food. It is vegan. That fact alone had me raising my eyebrows when I got it. Our family loves meat, as do our doggos, so I wondered how they would react to this. It was 50/50. They either ate it immediately or turned their nose up to it.🤷🏼‍♀️ The ones that love it ate it up like it was a treat, so thats what I’ve been using it as. I thought our cheagle would really like it cuz she tends to grase from time to time.😅 Hey, everyone needs their greens. That being said, she wanted No part of it.This arrived packaged well in a sealed bag. It does appear to be made well. So… I’ve given it a 3.5stars & I always round up. I do like that it is a natural alternative for them. That being said, it’s quite pricey for this small of a bag imo though.❤️‍🔥Shalom…

Our Two EXPERTS Rate It A+

My wife is pretty knowledgeable about dog foods and their ingredients and she said that though it’s very expensive food, it’s got very high quality contents. However, the most important review comes from our two EXPERTS, a male and a female, and those pups wolfed it down so fast we thought they were eating fresh squirrel kills. If you can afford it, get it because you’ll be amazed how much your “kids” will love you for it.

My Picky Eater Loves This Unique Dog Food!

I have a very finicky German Shepherd who turns his nose up at most dog foods, so I’m always on the hunt for new and interesting options to tempt his appetite. When I came across this Earth Animal Wisdom air-dried food with its unique blend of venison, beef, and bison, I figured it was worth a shot.Well, I’m thrilled to report that my pup absolutely devours this stuff! From the moment I opened the bag, he was drooling over the rich, meaty aroma. The jerky-like texture also seems to really appeal to him – I think he enjoys the more natural, chewy feel compared to processed kibble.I love that this food is made in the USA with high-quality, novel proteins. The venison, beef, and bison combo is not something I’ve seen in many other dog foods. It’s nice to be able to rotate proteins to keep things exciting for my dog.The only slight downside is the price point, as this is definitely a more premium dog food option. However, a little goes a long way with the concentrated, air-dried format. And for me, the quality ingredients and my dog’s enthusiasm make it worth the extra cost.Overall, if you have a picky eater or just want to treat your pup to a unique and nutrient-dense food, I can’t recommend this Earth Animal Wisdom blend enough! It’s been a total game-changer for my dog’s mealtime excitement. The company also seems to really prioritize animal welfare and natural ingredients, which I appreciate. Two paws up from this satisfied customer!

    He loves it!

My dog absolutely loved this food! He ate it up dry, and wanted more. The ingredients are top quality, and my dog tolerates it well. No vomiting or diarrhea, he seems to really like the food. Unfortunately, at price point of $20 per ounce, it’s out of my budget. Everything else is great!

  5. KC Skiddles

    A bit pricey

Very excellent dog food with ingredients that are well sourced and very healthy for my pup. I have actually used it for training treats and my pup enjoys the taste and consistency. My pup does not respond the same way if I use regular less-expensive yet healthy dog food for training treats. Rather she turns her nose up to it, and looks for the Earth Animal food. It has taken me about 3 months to almost finish the 2-pound bag using the food only as training treats. That really helps the price point, and I will likely purchase another bag. Also, I would like to note, the food settled very well in my pups stomach and she had no unusual problems. The food is not loaded with fillers like some other treats and so does not add to any overt weight gain.

    Pricey but good

My toy poodle is insanely particular about any dog food. I’ve tried every brand there is from the cheapest to the more expensive brands and he’s only been somewhat impressed with the “science” for small breeds so I decided to give this a try with no expectations of him liking it. He actually loves this food he gets excited when it’s time to eat. The quality seems really good and I’m assuming it tastes great! lol My only issue is $40 for a 2 lb bag seems a little pricey which is why I removed a star. It does seem to be worth the price so I’d have to say I would recommend.

Pricey, but the dog enjoys it as a treat

Using this as a treat/training aid for my year old pup. At first he wasn’t sure what to do with it… took it, then spit it out, then carried it off into the living room where he spit it out again and pawed at it like it was some foreign invader. Eventually, though, he ate that first piece and the 6-7 pieces I dropped into his bowl were happily consumed after that. I don’t see myself ever feeding vegetarian food to my dog as his regular diet, but these definitely add some variety to his routine.

Pup Likes it – But Questions Linger about Sourcing

It was immediately a good sign when our new pupper instantly took to this food. The smell is inviting, and he certainly seems to enjoy the taste. I know some would argue that you shouldn’t give your pets anything that’s TOO tasty, to discourage over-consumption. But we treat our furbabies well. The only reason I’m deducting a star from the rating isn’t about the quality of the food itself, which our doggo clearly enjoys. But rather, where the ingredients are sourced. It’s clear the the food is MANUFACTURED here in the States. But with regards to where the ingredients come from, the manufacturer is a little vague about the WHERE, just that they supposedly seek out quality sources. That doesn’t really tell me how much of the food is potentially sourced from China or other countries that don’t have the greatest track record when it comes to safe ingredients for pet food or snacks. I get that food companies in general (for people not just pets) source from a wide variety of farms or countries, and that it’s likely to change at any time. But a little transparency goes a long way. So we might order more, but I’d really like to know a bit more about where they get their ingredients from.

  9. Missy

    Mostly a hit

Most of my dogs really liked this and were willing to eat it dry – it’s not easy to get them to eat dry kibble, because they’re spoiled and used to having either wet food or chunks of meat mixed in with it. But this apparently smelled good enough to eat on its own. It seemed to give a few of them some pretty toxic gas though – maybe just because it was new and I didn’t slowly transition to it (there wasn’t enough in these tiny bags to bother with that.)To me, the stuff smells pretty atrocious – I’m not even sure what to compare it to, it didn’t smell like any dog food I’ve smelled before. Extremely intense and borderline nauseating, but I guess the important thing is the dogs don’t agree. The price is truly insane though, I couldn’t even convince my dad it was for real, he refuses to believe anybody could or would pay a hundred bucks for six pounds of dog food. Even if you only had one dog, it would be ridiculous, no matter how good the quality. And I’m assuming the quality is good, but despite being a pretty-far-left liberal and hardcore environmentalist, even I had to laugh at how over the top, sanctimoniously good for the planet and sustainably sourced and whole foody this brand is. The outside of the bag reads like a Portlandia sketch. I have no doubt it’s good for them, but my dogs spend a good portion of every day trying to eat cat poop from the litterbox and digging up rotting frogs to chew on. We’re not that high-class around here.

    Seems like decent food

Kibble pieces are too large for a toy breed but seems like ok food. One of my dogs ate it, one had to be coaxed. I got it as a mix in for their regular meat inclusive kibble (I don’t think dogs should ever only be fed plant based kibble) and it wasn’t a huge success as a temptation. Smells a bit like seaweed.

    Good for dogs diet

I bought this product because I believe it would be good for my dogs diet. But as fish go it does have a odor to it. I do not find it Pleasant but if it’s good for my dog I will give it to her. It is not her most popular thing to eat so I mix it in with her other food.

    Used for training

I often free my dog single ingredient freeze dried treats but have been mixing in balanced options as well. These are firmer pieces that don’t break up in your training bag which I like. As a treat the bag lasts a fair amount of time.

    Gradually quit eating Wisdom.

To start with my dog would eat this food. He wouldn’t eat as much, but he did eat it. He eat less and less of the Wisdom dog food each time until he would go a day without eating, then two days. We changed him back to his old food after he would go 2 to 3 days without eating consistently. I would not recommend this food. He loves people food. For this food to be baked, and supposedly real food that is healthy for your dog, it doesn’t make sense that my dog would quit eating .

Reviews of Dog Food Should be Written By A Dog

I don’t know how many dog food reviews I’ve read and bought into because they say things like, “my dogs is a picky eater but loves this”. So take this from a person that has a small collection of dog food building up since it looked like my dog would like some brand. Reviews about quality of service are valid ttc. but whether your dog will like the taste based on some other dogs quirks is useless. My dog ate one bowl for dinner, a half bowl for breakfast and then wouldn’t touch it again. She’s a 40 lb female Bull Terrier. So it’s back to the drawing board once again. As an update, my dog was spoiled and I decided to try the method of removing her food after 15 minutes and feeding pushed to the next meal (breakfast or dinner) She caught on and is now eating a steady menu consisting of the original brand she started with as a pup. I don’t want anyone to think I have a problem with this brand. It’s fine I’m sure. I just needed to bring some discipline in to the process.

    Great smell, big kibbles.

My husky likes it. I don’t know if it’s suitable for small breeds as the kibbles are fairly big. The smell is amazing, I can’t even describe it. Not fishy at all but like a home cooked meal.

    Using for training treats

This food is too expensive for me to feed on a daily basis for my 70 lb dog. She has an allergy to other types of protein, so a fish diet is medically necessary. But she seems to really like this food, so I use it as a training treat. I’m impressed with the ingredients. This seems like high quality food, and I hate to take away a star just because I can’t afford it, but I can’t imagine buying enough of this to feed a dog of this size.

    The BEST

I have two Whippies and they absolutely LOVE this food. The ingredients are amazing and the quality can’t be beat. I laughed out loud at the other reviewer who said their dog downs this food like they’re being fed a Thanksgiving turkey. It’s so accurate! My dogs beg me for this food. Keep in mind that while it’s a little pricey, you don’t feed them as much as you do dry kibble. Because it’s more nutrient-dense they get what they need in smaller quantities. Highly recommend.

My non picky dogs don’t like and are pooping nonstop

So my dogs are in no way picky, I consistently rotate brands and proteins so they’re totally used to it. It does not upset their tummies in the least. They don’t like this one at all. One just picks at it and they’re pooping (pretty normal mostly solid slightly soft poops) but A LOT .. 6+ times a day. Huge piles. Good thing I work from home. And they’re starving. I’ve never seen them beg like this .. Nugget tried to bite me when I pushed her away from my food.. she’s 6.. she has NEVER. The pieces are very large for smaller dogs. Their furs have lost their luster. Worst food I’ve ever tried and we’ve tried many brands of freeze dried/air dried raw. Would absolutely avoid this one.

    Large hard kibbles

Difficult for small breeds to chew. If your dog won’t eat it (mine couldn’t ) even though it states money back guarantee on the bag- it is not sold by the vet who developed the food It’s sold by a distributor so you are out of luck because they don’t stand behind the guarantee. It’s rather expensive to boot.

Ingredients are great, my dog ate it at first, as we got through the bag, he’s not interested, I don’t know why. The product seems fresh, I’m not sure if the freshness is limited as time goes by, it’s not a big bag , doesn’t take long to go through it.

She likes them served with a little ricitt

This is NOT the product called Wisdom Chicken formula my dog has been eating for over a year. My dog sniffed these relatively medium plops but she wouldn’t try them…AT FIRST. My dog loved the chewy jerky-like texture and the smaller size of the other product. I bought 2 one lb bags of this new version.j The ingredients include ancient grains, and though I am not glad to include any grain in her diet I am happy to relate that if I frost these little balls with ricotta cheese , she devours them!,y and I am overjoyed she is eating high quality ingredients. So, we have a happy ending. I would still like access to the original formula as an optional meal or snack

High-Quality Ingredients, but My Picky Eater Didn’t Quite Jive with It

I was excited to try the Earth Animal Wisdom Air Dried Dog Food with my furry friend, and I was impressed with the premium ingredients and unique kibble shape. The faint meaty odor was a pleasant surprise, especially compared to other brands that can be overpowering. The transition to this new food was a bit of a struggle, but my dog initially enjoyed it for a few nights. However, she soon lost interest in the kibble on its own and only showed enthusiasm when I topped it with another product. I appreciated the comprehensive ingredient list, which seemed to cater to my dog’s nutritional needs. The bag was easy to open, pour, and reseal, making it convenient for daily use. Despite the high-quality ingredients and thoughtful formulation, my dog unfortunately didn’t seem to thrive on this food. She tends to be a picky eater, and it appears that this product wasn’t quite the right fit for her. While I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Earth Animal Wisdom Air Dried Dog Food to other pet owners, I do want to caution that it might not be suitable for every dog. If your furry friend is a picky eater like mine, you might want to consider their individual preferences and needs before making the switch.

    The perfect vegan dog food

I have tried other vegan dog foods as well, and they were great, though many were baked. What is special about this one is it is air dried, preserving as much nutrient content as can be done without using high heat, which can denature/destroy several types of vitamins and nutrients. My dog loves it and inhales it before I can blink. So all that being said, why not 5 stars for a perfect dog food, if it is perfect? Quantity and pricing, that’s why. Two pounds of food for 35USD, I would never buy myself two pounds of food that set me back 35 dollars, not even on my birthday, that is too expensive. A five pound bag of apples from a grocery store is 5-7 dollars, and a 10 pound bag of potatoes is 6-8 dollars, and a 20 pound bag of rice is 10-15 dollars. This food is great and thoughtfully formulated, but not so much that it deserves to be priced like that.To the manufacturer, I would say offer larger bags, and for more reasonable prices. Say, 20lb, 30lb, and 50lb bags for around 20, 30, and 50USD. If my money stretched far on this food, I would consider buying it with my money, but for now, it remains a sprinkling on top of my dogs normal food until it runs out.

    Delicious (I think) but pricey

My golden retriever would give this two thumbs up, if he had thumbs. Or he’d just keep eating and ignore us totally. He completely scarfs this down any time I add some to his kibble, and if I am hand feeding him these for treats for training. The ingredient list is very reassuring. The main downside is the expense – feeding him solely this would not be possible.

    Wish sourcing information was provided

Our Nina loves this stuff, which we give her as treats and as a topper to her fresh food. But to be honest, I haven’t found much that she doesn’t hoover up.The bits are moist, not totally dried out. Check out the ingredient list and you’ll see that the first ingredients are venison, beef, beef liver and dried sardines. The other ingredients look good, too. I’m very picky about where Nina’s food comes from, and the packaging isn’t specific about that, which is disappointing. This is pretty high-priced stuff, so you’ll have to judge if it’s worth it to you to pay this kind of money.

Wonderful ingredients and my difficult baby has like it

I am so impressed with the ingredients of this food. I have 2 stray adopted fur babies who have issues. I had hoped that my younger one would be able to eat it but his allergies were too extreme. My older one is going thru a spell where she refuses most food. Of every kind imaginable She actually seems to like this. So I am semi-enthused about it. If she will eat it over other things we will definitely pay the rather steep price but if not- it’a back to trying to figure things out. I hope she takes to this long term because the ingredients are so clean and healthy for her.

Great product! It’s like everything I want in a dog food, “especially from the sea types”. Definite repeat customer. And my dog loves it but she loves everything so yeah

    Ugh

I did all the research and thought this would be a good fit for my two schnauzers but I fed just a few nuggets to them in two separate meals and they both vomited twice separately. I’m so disappointed as I really wanted to like the food.

    My dog will pass…

My pug hates it.Looks like pellets, harder than I expected. My old dog can be hungry, he smells, try to chew and spit out.
