    Dog loves it

My 7 month old mini Aussie can’t wait for this to be set down at feeding time. It slows him down and keeps him busy. It started out challenging for him and even though it’s gotten easier it’s perfect for stimulating his mind and eagerness to forage.

    Perfect

This one is the best because you could take it apart and wash it in the top rack of your dishwasher, but do not heat dry it my dogs love it

    Love it!

This puzzle has been great not only for my puppy but also for my friends dog who is currently on bed rest. Fairly easy to clean if just using food or treats, but is also easy enough if using something spreadable too

    My dog loves it!

I was surprised at how sturdy and well made this puzzle is. My puppy took to this immediately. He is very active, and I wanted to slow him down while eating, while still providing a challenge to occupy him. It works great on both counts! When he’s looking for a snack, it is the first place he looks, not in his bowl! We have taken to splitting his servings so we can put kibble into this puzzle because he really looks forward to it.It is washable too, which makes it nice to keep using at each feeding.

    May have a smart puppy

My beagle cross pup at 10 weeks figured out the puzzle so quickly!! But she loves it and brings it to me to fill for her (12 weeks now). I may need something more difficult for her soon!!

    Lab approved

Our young lab loves this. I was able to put about 1/4 cup of kibble into the blue sliding parts, and there are screws that hold the fins in place, so you can tighten them more if you want to make it more difficult. She has destroyed many toys, but even with occasional chewing it is still in good condition. Wonderful toy that our pup approves.

    My Rabbits Love It

I have two house rabbits and in order to keep them mentally stimulated, I have to find ways to keep things fresh. They had a snuffle mat, but that didn’t do the trick so I tried this. I also let my dog get in on it(they all get along). Well, my dog had a challenge with it, but the bunnies figured it out pretty quickly and loved finding all the different treats hidden. You can make it easier to configure or more challenging, so that is really cool. Since my rabbits can destroy anything in 2.5 seconds I appreciate the durability of this puzzle.

    My dog loves this!

My dog gets so excited when I bring this out. It is not too challenging for him and is very sturdy. Easy to clean once you are able to take apart the pieces. Sometimes it is difficult to take it apart, but other than that it is great!

One dog loves it! Pretty easy to rinse clean, a bit hard to separate the layers imho. Sturdy, fun

I rinse it clean without taking it apart, using the wide spray on the kitchen sink, because I find it difficult to take apart and put back together without making a mess. The fastener clip is small and hard to manipulate. However it rinses off pretty easily, you just have to spin each layer. (Use the gentle or wide spray to avoid water going everywhere. It easily holds about one 13oz can of dogfood. It takes about half a can to fill it enough to make it worth the dog’s time imho. My 23lb corgi mix loves it. She can focuses on getting every lick out of every layer, and keeps her busy a while. It has helped her tremendously slow down on her meals and also provides enrichment and entertainment. 13 lb chihuahua mix is less thorough, he grabs what he can easily get, and cries for a refill! 10lb rescue chihuahua mix did not understand it at all and is much more toy motivated than food motivated, but he is a picky eater and did not need slowing down. So, for the purpose intended, slow down my vacuum-corgi mix dog, it’s worked fantastic, and she also enjoys playing with it. Good for a dog who likes a challenge, or eats way too fast. I love that it doesn’t tip over, she hasn’t flipped it over yet with daily use. I’ve used it with both small dry kibble and wet food, works fine with both. It’s easy to smear canned food onto it even if you don’t take the layers apart. Doesn’t need to be perfect, she’s happy, I’m happy

    Easy puzzle

My dogs are too smart for this, so it’s a level 1 easy for them. However I appreciate how durable it is compared to some of the other plastic puzzles we have. The holes are a good size to put kibbles in. All in all a very good puzzle. Cleaning it might pose a challenge but overall it’s a good puzzle.

If your dog likes puzzles and will use their paws they’ll like this dispenser. It took a bit for my dog to figure it out but now he gets so excited for it. Really slows down his meal and enriches him. It’s easy to fill and seems durable.

Really fun, our dogs loved it!

We have husky puppies that we like to challenge and keep busy. This is a great puzzle game that allows you to place kibble or treats in compartments. The dogs have to move levers different ways to release the treats. They loved it and it kept them occupied and engaged.Good quality and sturdy as well. Held up against our rambunctious dogs that chew up everything. We bought two of these and both look great after many uses.Highly recommend if you want to mentally challenge your dog and keep them occupied.

Do it right to be happy!

At first I thought this was far too easy and I was super disappointed. I was placing treats/food directly under the flaps. She figured it out and got all the treats in about 60 seconds or less. I was going to return it till my daughter told me the food goes inside the KNOBS instead! So then she has to move the flaps, move the knob over the open space THEN move the knob again to find the food. It’s much trickier and my dog loves it! It doesn’t take a ton of time, but it keeps her occupied, and I give her part of her meals in these and she freaks out when she’s sees me getting it together. She’ll wait for this before she touches food readily accessible in her bowl. Great puzzle! Love it!

My dog never got the hang of this

Let me start by saying that the product is exactly what is advertised. It is easy to fill and clean.I am giving the product three stars because my dogs never learned how to use it.I have two dogs. One is young and eats her entire meal in one gulp. It can’t be healthy! I tried to teach her how to use the feeder to slow her down. Instead of turning it with her paws which is what she needs to do to get her food out, she just tried to lick it out through the holes. This works a little bit but mostly makes the whole thing a sticky mess. The food gets kind of glued to the inside and won’t come out.Every time I used it, I had to stand there and try to encourage her to use her paws. This never really happened so I ended up just spinning it for her.My other dog is older and it’s hard for her to balance and use the feeder. If the wheel would spin when they hit it with their nose, it would be a different story. In the end, I’m not sure if it’s just my dogs or if it’s a product issue.

    My dachshund loves this dish!

This spinner dish is wonderful. It slows down my dogs eating and he loves playing with it. It exercises his brain and the strong hunting Dr. dachshund have. Even when it’s empty, he will go and spin it with his nose just for fun.The value for the money is great, not only does the dish perform. Well, we also get entertainment out of watching him use it!

    Works great!

We were using a ceramic slow-feed bowl that was circles but our dog learned how to eat through the maze and was eating too fast again. I was surprised at how well this is built. Each level is super strong and now it takes my dog about 10-15 minutes to eat all of the kibble. A few times I’ve used the bottom section only for a little bit of a treat-time kibble. I found it very easy to separate the layers by turning it upside down and slightly pinching the middle piece that holds them together. We have only had it a few weeks but it is holding up well being broken down, going through the dishwasher and being put back together once a day. It is the best slow feeder I have found for our large dog (he is a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix).

We love it but doesn’t slow eating enough

It so far has held up to my puppy but i supervise him and remove it when he’s done. He eats 1+1/3 cups of food per meal and I’d say you wouldn’t be able to fit a lot more than that unless you pile on top. It’s been easy to clean. Havent put it through the dishwasher so i cant comment on that. So far, there hasn’t been any issue with the rotation of the levels. My dog gets VERY excited around food and inhales it-only takes 20 seconds for him to eat his meal, then he would get hiccups or vomit. I decided to give this a try since he also likes searching for food but i wanted something easy since he’s new to puzzles. The 1st time it slowed him down to 5 minutes. After that, it went to 1.5 minutes to 2 minutes to finish a meal. A great improvement from the mere seconds it took him to finish before, but just not enough. We will still use it for enrichment though.

Decent challenge, a bit annoying to deep clean.

This puzzle can be “easy” or “medium” depending on how you set it which is nice. I started my puppy on easy to get them used to the idea of puzzles for their food, and I increased the difficulty after they figured it out. This is not as easy to deep clean as you need to remove the fins and unscrew the top from the base to remove everything. This brand has another puzzle there everything snaps off and makes deep cleaning easier. You can reach all the areas the dog’s mouth can reach with a sponge or brush without taking things apart, but I’d recommend removing everything and cleaning every part once in a while. The rounded parts that slide seem to disincentive chewing and my puzzle doesn’t currently have teeth marks which is a good sign.

Helps keep my dog occupied for a bit

We have a high energy dog. She try to keep her busy so she doesn’t get into things that we don’t want her getting into. We fill the puzzle with treats for her to keep her engaged in the puzzle for 10-15 minutes. When all the treats are gone, she does chew on the puzzle. So far, it only has teeth marks in it, she hasn’t chewed any pieces of the puzzle off and she is a heavy chewer.

    Very Easy Puzzle

So for a test run I only put a few dollops of Kong stuff in a few compartments on the second tray which is the one that can be fully covered up. Took my goblin dog about 2.3 seconds to pick it up and carry it over to her bed and solve the puzzle because she weird and menuvered it methodically with her paw.Still great, and with frozen goo in all the levels this might keep her stimulated for at least half the work day.For reference, goblin dog is 16 years old

    Nice

I would say this puzzle is too easy for a 4 month old pup who figured it out in less than a minute the first time with the treat hidden in the knobs and flaps. So not challenging but still fun with the clacking noise with nose pushing it around, pawing it.

    great puzzle

bought for my dog who has been inhaling her food recently. she loves puzzle feeders and was able to figure this one out relatively quickly, but if you’re wanting it for the purpose of a slow feeder, i definitely recommend. this slowed her down immensely compared to regular slow feeder bowls. i was worried the kibble would come out too easily but it doesn’t! great product

    Would Recommend

The media could not be loaded.

I would recommend this product. It definitely slows down my dog’s eating. Although not as much as I would’ve hoped. Next time I’ll look for a puzzle that’s a bit more challenging. It spins easily so it’s not really that difficult for the dog to figure out what to do. Sometimes I smear wet food on the top spinner in addition to dry food on the bottom two layers and sometimes I’ll freeze the wet food on the top layer. That really slows her down and she enjoys that. It seems like a sturdy feeder and it should last awhile. I will say I wasn’t paying attention to her the first time she had it and had finished her food and she started chewing the edge of the feeder but that’s my own fault. Just make sure you grab it up and put it away after the dog is done eating. Oh I also wasn’t sure if it would hold her portion of food but it holds her regular portion plus room for more. Would recommend 👍

    My dogs favorite

My dog loves this! He prefers it over a puzzle feeder or a snuffle mat. It’s easy to clean because it snaps apart and it’s super easy to fill. I can fit about 1.5 cups of dry food in it. My dog really didn’t need any help figuring out how to use it but I did ease into it by starting with the top layer and then each time we used it I added another layer.

Works for my food crazy pup

I feed my puppy in his crate. He does NOT like his crate. He is also a complete food snarfer and devours anything in front of him (except carrots, mushrooms, and lettuce – ewwwww) in no time. This feeder slows down his eating so he actually has to work to get it out. This gives me an extra few minutes with him in his crate to undo whatever he’s messed up around the house. I’m hoping as he grows up his eating patterns change and I won’t always need this, but it’s very helpful now. It’s a puzzle and slow feeder in one and is a win in my house.

    Good quality

Bigger than expected, and good quality. My dog is too smart and every puzzle toy she gets she destroys in less than a minute. This one was no exception, until we decided to put a small treat into the cylinders so she has to move the leaves and then push the cylinder into the open spot.

    Great toy

I thought it would take my smart Cairn puppy weeks to master this, but she did it quickly. However, she loves it, and continues to move the slides well after she gets all the treats. Now to find a harder puzzle toy…

Good toy/food delivery for average dog

We purchased this to try to give our smarter dog something interesting to do, and to slow the other one down from eating her food too fast. Both dogs enjoy getting food out of the toy. The smarter dog figured it out instantly, and the food was out in a matter of seconds. The other struggles to get all the food -mostly by hitting at it with paws and nose and throwing the whole thing around. If you have a smart dog you want to challenge, this is not the toy. But if you want to slow down a fast eater, it’s great and our dogs do not tire of getting the food out.

Challenging: Dog Loves it – Best Slow Feeder I have Found

This is the most challenging puzzle I have found and my dog loves it.She gets all her food in the puzzle and it acts as a slow-feeder.It takes her about 3 minutes to solve (and double check). It had lasted a year and is as good as new.I have gotten a bunch of puzzles in the past and this one is the most challengingAND has no bad features I have encountered with other puzzles – like:Some puzzles have multiple pieces that get lost under couches, or can be carried outside. Some are not sturdy and allow the dog to cheat by forcing or banging or turning upside down. Some puzzles are very tedious to load. Some have parts that can be damaged by chewing. Some are too easy and are solved in seconds by a smart dog.

another good slow feeder or treat giver

I got this thinking I might use it to give some treats, but I use it mostly as a slow feeder right now. I like that it completely comes apart to be cleaned. It can easily hold over a cup of food, that is what I am feeding right now and there is room to spare. It probably takes my puppy about 5 minutes or so to get everything. When she will eat more I plan to use a second item, like a kong, to feed the rest.

Like this, as does the puppy!

Really like this much better than another puzzle I had you can take it apart easy it’s easy to wash it slows her down. You can get a lot of food in it and it doesn’t have multiple parts that can get lost unlike my other puzzle. Go to open box so it was cheaper as well. I have to say I’m not hugely keen on the ridiculous primary colors, but I guess it’s like baby toys they make them bright as far as I know dogs can only see black-and-white and it doesn’t go with my decor , so I don’t know why they bothered with the luminous clashing colors 😝

My pup got to play with one of these at daycare ad he loved it, so the staff sent me home with a recommendation. This one popped up on as daily sale and my dog got a new feeder toy! He sniffs intently at it and then slides the knobs out of the way and opens the turning covers to get the treat. He’s good for a couple minutes of enjoyment and it’s fun to watch him get rewarded for his efforts. Everybody’s happy! 😁

    My Cats Love It

My cats, all three, love it. They have to take turns finding the treats. One of my cats looks so accomplished when he gets one of the treats, it’s obvious that they get some sort of primal joy out of using this contraption. I recommend it for dogs or cats, my cats are all larger but I don’t think size matters here and that any pet that digs can use it.

    Hound Dog Spin & Eat

We have two Yorkshire Terriers who really enjoy food puzzle trays. So, I just knew they’d have fun with this self feeder.Because they are both very small they eat small kibbles. The kibbles are treats only. The pups loved this tumbler until it would get stuck.Unfortunately their kibbles would become jammed behind the barrel. When that happened the barrel would stop spinning they’d get extremely frustrated. They’d start barking, whining, pushing and pawing at the feeder. The feeder was very pricey and now it’s too late to return it.I do not recommend this product for small dogs who eat small kibble.I suppose larger dogs whose kibble is larger and won’t get caught behind the barrel would enjoy this self feeder. It is very well made. Not thin.Heavy weight.Easy to clean.Easy to assemble.

A game changer for crate training

My little Chaos Monkey eats her meals in the crate and definitely considers it her safe space, but *hates* being locked in it. She will either take a protest poop or tear up the foam bed.The trainer I’ve been working with recommended some kind of slow bowl to extend the time she enjoys being in the crate. My pack is all on human food recipes from the website balance.it, so their meals are mostly a ground protein, sweet potatoes, and some green veggies.I’ve only fed her one meal so far, and she was working on it for over an hour and fifteen minutes! When I went to check on her towards the end, she was laying in her crate calmly without any of the usual barking. One use and I’m completely sold. I think a dog eating kibble wouldn’t take anywhere near as long, so if you’re using this for crate training, food that you have to smear in there takes the longest.

Awesome puzzle – impossible barrel removal

I had been wanting to get this for my stubborn & picky eater doggo for quite a while. The store near me that did have this wanted over $40 for it. I was happy to find it here. It’s such a great concept & I am positive it is going to work well for my dog…..once I can get the barrel off. There are no instructions on how exactly to remove it. I tried looking up YouTube videos on it – nada……the barrel is on very tight and it’s hard for me to move around by smacking at it; my dog can’t do it. Outside of this REALLY ANNOYING ISSUE; I’m sure once I find a way to resolve it, this is going to work out great. I’m going to update my review with a video for other people who can’t get the barrel off once I figure it out.Update 2 weeks later. I’m stupid and all you have to do with the barrel is just use a little bit of force with it. It pops right off. Greatp puzzle.

    Perfect for my cat

I got this for my cat because a cat-targeted puzzle I got him was too easy. The way the fins lock in place and the pegs have to be moved multiple times mean that it takes him at least ten minutes, more if he gets bored and comes back to it. He can’t easily fit his paws in the holes, but he still can, which also slows him down. The plastic is thick and sturdy, and the entire puzzle is about the size of a dinner plate, so it’s easy to find a spot to store it when it’s not in use.

Good for kitty- probably better for big pets!

This was a great product for my new kitty- 7 months old. To get it started, you just place the food in the circular cups and cover the hole with the flipper- don’t move the cup to the hole like I did because the food will fall out and you have to refill it! It’s very durable and thicker than I thought, so probably a bit better for bigger cats or dogs but my little lithe kitty plays when she’s hungry. There are multiple holes for the food to go into and it’s heavy but a compact size that is easily hauled around.

Best puzzle I’ve could have gotten my little girl

I got this to see if I could slow my little Yorkie down at meal time. She hardly chewed her food and always seemed hungry. Since I got this she is forced to take her time at meal time. And she chews her food now! She has cut back on the amount of food she consumes each meal also. Now she will not eat her kibbles out of her regular bowl she has to have it out of her puzzle dish! lol

    My cats are enjoying this

Got this for my cats. They had a tough time getting the treats out at first once they uncovered the holes because there’s a little bit of a lip between the hole and cover, but they figured it out and get all the treats now. Fun little puzzle to keep them busy.

    What’s wrong with my dog?

I had watched a friend’s dogs have so much fun with these so, I got one for my German Shepherd for her 4th birthday. I was disappointed, not with the device but with her. I guess she is just too lazy!!

The Right Challenge For My Smart Pup

Overall I think this puzzle feeder is very well built and designed. It’s nice and heavy and stays put on the ground while it’s being played with. Our pup loves the challenge! The only gripe I have is with the puzzle feeder being designed for the dogs to scratch and snuff around, some of the leaves rotate off of the feeder and become the first thing our dog starts to bit and chew on. If that were fixed this would be a 5-star puzzle.

    Fun and Small

The media could not be loaded.

So it’s a good size, about half the size of a dinner tray. It’s easy to set up, you just drop a couple of kibble/treats/etc into the sliders, and you can optionally fill the holes with peanut butter if you’d like. It’s pretty durable, my puppy has scratched at it, stood on it, I’ve tripped on it, accidentally kicked it, etc and it’s fine. It’s easy to clean, you just pop it into the dishwasher (if you’ve been using peanut butter) or run it under hot water. It is about Lego levels of painful if you step on it or trip over it though. And since my puppy has had it for a while it only takes him 10-15 min or so to get everything from it. Still, he has fun with it.
