Dog liked it, easy for training treats. Not enough in the bag though.

    Good treats-honest review

My dog love them. He works well in training for them as a reward, and they are low calorie and easy to use. Not much to gripe about. Only wish there was an organic version of this and other Pupford treats.

    Great training treats

Lots of small bits perfect for all day rewards. Actually, these should last through several training sessions unless you’re feeding a lot them at once. They smell very fishy indicating they’re truly made only of salmon. My dogs love them and I would not hesitate to buy this brand again.

I was hoping for this price and quantity that she would love them – she’s 8 weeks and i was hoping she would love these for potty training but she doesn’t seem to be a huge fan!Flavoring is everything yall!

    Good but inconsistent quality

I’ve been getting this freeze dried beef liver treat for my aussie puppy since he’s only weeks old and he loves it. Even though he eats anything I give him now, when he first came to my home he would only eat his kibbles — funnily enough, would not touch ANY treat (as if it contaminates his kibbles too when mixed in…) EXCEPT this one.I’ve been pretty happy with this product and were on monthly subscription for it..however, I just opened the bag I received last month (I don’t give him too many treats, and he has other treats too, so I have a lot in stock and have switched to less frequent subscription), and it smells so weird. Even before opening, I noticed that the treats look different from the other bags I have in stock. I’m not sure if this bag of treats is still good to let my dog have them:(Other than that, this is a great low-cal treat (less than 1 or 2 kcal per treat, depending on which version of packaging you receive) to give, especially for small dogs like mine (less than 10lbs).

    Its in my monthly subscription!

As a dog owner, I know the struggle of finding both healthy and effective training treats. Pupford Freeze Dried Dog Training Treats have exceeded my expectations on both counts! Here’s why I love them:Single-Ingredient Goodness: These treats are pure, freeze-dried meat (available in various flavors). No fillers, no grains, just wholesome protein that my dog goes crazy for.Tiny but Mighty: Each treat is pea-sized, perfect for multiple rewards during training without overfeeding. The low-calorie count means I can be generous without the guilt.

    Great quality

These are the best training treats out there. Single ingredient so you know there isn’t a bunch of crap in it. The best feature is that they are nice sized pieces, not crumbs like a lot of other brands.

Great, low calorie but very pricey

The media could not be loaded.

My dog loves everything freeze dried so I ordered these treats for her. I like how low calorie they are and they definitely don’t stink which is very important to me. It’s definitely on the pricier side for treats so that’s the only downside

    Small pieces, great for training!

I like how small the pieces are. These are great for training.

  16. CDavis

    5.0 out of 5 stars

Less than one calorie each and the perfect size.

Even though these are a bit more pricey than the treats I would typically buy, I find I prefer them, for the following reasons: 1) their size- our puppies don’t care that they are small. They love them and, because they are so small, I no longer have to cut/break treats into smaller sizes to make them last longer (or deal with them crumbling). In the long run, I actually end up saving money. 2) The caloric content- when training, we go through a LOT of treats which adds calories to the pups’ daily food intake, which can have negative consequences. Our vet said a total of 30 additional calories per day (for our puppies’ sizes) was what he preferred. That means I can give each pup 30 treats, compared to only 10 per day of the previous ones I had purchased. 3) Flavor variety- eight choices! I highly recommend.

    #1 Training Treats

I LOVE this product and will continue to swear by it. These are the ONLY training treats that do it all for me and that I’ve now used for both of my West Highland Terriers. The ingredients are incredible and clean, which for dogs like mine who have easily upset stomachs is perfect. Each training treat is extremely low in kcal and they’re freeze-dried so the treats don’t “dry” up like all the other soft treats I’ve tried if they’re left in a treat bag and not sealed air tight. The flavors are great and my dogs go crazy for all of them. I love the small pellet shaped size of these treats – perfect for small dogs, but I also see big dogs going crazy for these too.

    Dog doesn’t like

I was excited for my pup to try these and thought we could use them for a healthy training treat, but she tried one and spit it out and won’t eat them. Waste of money since they’ve been opened but I’ll regift to family dogs with fingers crossed.

    My furbabies LOVE these!

The caloric number was the first reason I even looked at furbabies tend to be just a tiny bit overweight in my opinion. My girls, Maya & Roxie, absolutely love these! We think they want to go outside, (sometimes w/o doing any businesw. just to get these treats when they come in!!They have always barked non-stop at our youngest son, because he ignored them, so they didn’t know him.Well, after several years of hearing them bark non-stop and running after our son, he came over last night and he walked into the LR. My girls was sitting with me in my recliner and they just looked at him, not barking, not running around him.I was happily amazed!!When our son walked out of the LR and into the kitchen, the girls followed.I heard no barking and went to see what was happening . . .What I saw was truly eye-opening, to say the least. My furbabies were sitting in front of him, while my son was bent over and talking to them. After a moment or so, he grabbed the bag of Pupford Dog Treats and tails started wagging!!He, literally had them eating out of his hand!!!We can never run out of these!

Finally the puppy training treat I have been looking for

I have been trying all sorts of treats for my new puppy and none kept his interest more than a passing meh besides cheddar cheese and I don’t want to give him too much of that. These he loves and will not stop eating so they are perfect for working through various commands on repeat thorugh out the day. They are dry and light and crunchy and he eats them in a bit or two. Can keep some in pocket and so far they haven’t turned into dust. Setup on subscription within a day.

Training treats even the cat loves

I wasn’t entirely sure about these treats when I first looked at then and ordered. I have never bought pet food or treats online before. But my mini Aussie goes nuts over them. She is overweight, so we are working on weight loss and management. Knowing that these treats are low calorie really helps me feel good and willing to keep rewarding her as often as possible during training sessions. Our rag doll cat also really loves them and has snuck a few treats for himself. Will be ordering again!

    Good treats!

Dogs love them once they figure out they are blueberries. Good premium treats!Doubt there are 425 treats since some blueberries are pretty big.Packaged box came crushed with only an invoice so about 1/4 of them are crumbs, pieces and a little powder.(if you are supposed to count those pieces and crumbs, it will be 425 pieces.)Still would buy again hoping it comes in better packaging. (Also bought the sweet potato; those are fantastic also!)

Never “expires” in scent or flavor

I was watching Cesar Milan train a puppy. As I was watching, the puppy lost interest in the treats he had been using and he said treats “expire”, as far as desire by the dogs. This never happened with our puppy with the liver/heart combo. She loves these and will do anything for them! They are the perfect size and there is a huge quantity in the bag. Highly recommend.

Small treats were an issue with my dog.

First, my dog may be the only dog with this issue but she choked on her first 4 pieces do I dumped the whole bag as this was quite frightening. Not sure if it was the size or weight or shape but did not work for her. She has freeze dried turkey in her kibble but it is larger and the shape is more spread out. I giver her the same size training treats that is not freeze dried, soft and heavier and she has no issues. I liked the fact of fewer calories per piece for training but clearly a hazard for her plus very expensive for what you get. I hate writing a negative review but again, this might be a rarity just for my 75 lb. dog.I want to add that after this incident and this review, this company immediately reached out with their concerns. The issue with my dog may be a rarity as this company has rave reviews. I have found their customer service is nothing short of amazing and will try some of their other products!

My little dog and cat LOVE these treats!

I usually only buy single ingredient treats for my animal friends. Both my dog and cat weigh about 12 pounds. My dog had 24 teeth out two weeks after I adopted her from the shelter so she cannot chew on hard things. They both love these treats. Small, easy to chew, dry and not messy. I can carry in my pocket for training. They do smell like fish however! I am very satisfied with them and they last quite a while.

We just got a new puppy, and needless to say, we have been doing a lot of training. Since each treat is less than 1 kcal, we are able to reward our pup generously. He also seems to really enjoy them! All around, they are amazing, and we just ordered their fruit pack today!

    Best treats! Perfect!

These are so great. They are the perfect pea-sized reward. I have 8 dogs and every dog loves them. I always have treats in my pocket and these are my favorite because they have no residual odor on my hands or my clothes. Every training treat I’ve tried has a strong smell. But not these! They are also really light in my pocket. I can put a huge handful in and they are like they aren’t even there. I can’t say enough good things. These are simply the best.

    Great for limited ingredients

I needed a good treat with no chicken. These beef liver treats are perfect for my dog with allergies from chicken. They are small but I find them to be a nice size for training or a small treat here and there.

    Perfect for frequent rewards

These treats are tiny, but just big enough for them to be motivating for my dog during our training sessions. I like how the treats aren’t greasy or crumbly, so ibdont have to worry about a mess in my hands or pockets while we train, have agility class, or go on walks. If you really want to stretch the bag to last your dog longer, the pieces vary slightly in size and some of the longer ones can easily be broken into even smaller pieces for more rewards 😄I do frequent training with my food motivated dog, so it’s very important to me that the treats are low calorie, small, and easy for my dog to gulp up!

    Puppy likes their kibble more!

It was different and held his attention for a bit but he got over the flavor and texture quickly. It took only about a day. He even ate around a couple in his food bowl and only ate them because he was trying to tell me his bowl was empty before lunch time. I’ll still rate it 3/5 because I would hope a treat would be worthy of a sit. But he does like the smell of salmon and ate it happily while it was a *different food* he could enjoy. Wish it lasted longer.I mention he likes his kibble more. It’s Hill’s Science Diet in a chicken flavor. Maybe it’s the chicken, maybe it’s the texture. But I can get him to enjoy training just by feeding him that. Even if he just ate or if we’re trading tricks for lunch so he eats slower.

thanks Pupford for turning my sweet puppy into a treat gremlin

These treats may have distroyed my puppys training. She is not very food motivated. I have to remind her to eat. So when these treats showed up I was ambivalent. I gave her one as a part of her crate training and she seemed to enjoy it. Well, when she got out of the crate and the initial drama had run its course she started climbing on the couch like a koala, perched herself on a pile of blankets and tried to steal them off their shelf. Her quest was spoiled once I figured out what was going on and now she is following the phantom scent of the last one she ate on the ground. So thanks Pupford for turning my sweet puppy into a treat gremlinw 😂

    Difficult to review

The product was exactly as promised. Felt the value for the money was also good. Problem was that my dogs didn’t like them. I hoped to use the for training. That was a no go. Used them on top of their soft for as a texture element. That they would eat.

    Pricey but an Excellent Product.

Dogs love these training/reward treats. They are very small and do not crumble like some other brands I have tried. Good because they are low calorie and contain no unnecessary ingredients like molasses that a lot of training treats contain.

The only treat my dog will eat!

My puppy spits out nearly all other treats! These are hands down her favorite, and since they only have 1 calorie, I can feel good about giving her lots and praising her. We use them for training treats, but I also give her a handfull when telling her “cage.” I’ve started doing the toilet paper roll thing: put 6 of these in a toilet paper roll, fold the ends, instant engagement toy! I also put a combination of these and regular food in snuffle mats. My dog will do anything for these, and I don’t have to worry about her weight or that they’re unhealthy for her. I love that they have few ingredients, no fillers, and [seem to] taste great! (instagram @LoveytheRussell)

    Something about it…

… that make my pup sit and wait for it without me even asking her to sit. She loves these training treats a lot! They do NOT last long and that’s on big flaw it has. Also, if you pour this bag into some container and seal it for storage (which isn’t going to take much time anyway) it start having some werid smell. But that only happens if you don’t run out of them fast, which usually isn’t our case. I found two flavors of these and both work great.

Product AND Seller are 5 star

These are great for my small 8 lb Yorkies, b/c small enough and low calorie enough to reward frequently. Hurray. THEN, unfortunately one of my Yorkies developed gallbladder issue and restricted to less than 6% fat. A month before, (after always using the dried rabbit) I ordered a large order but of other flavors. Unfortunatley I realized after the gallbladder issue that while the rabbit is excellent at very low fat, the others have over 10%. I asked the company if I could ship the most recent order back and exchange for the rabbit. And they not only said yes, but provided a return pre paid mailing sticker. THANK YOU PUPFORD COMPANY/SELLER for your understanding, and also for your product.

My puppy’s favorite treat so far

My puppy has tried 4 different kinds of treats so far, one she doesn’t like at all (fair, they’re pumpkin), one she thinks is ok sometimes, one she likes, and this one she loves. Just realized I made her sound like goldilocks. Anyway, personally, I love that these are so small, they are 1/2 to 1/4 the size of the other treats, and she is only 9 weeks, she doesn’t need to eat huge treats all day while training.
