    Fun Toy!

The material on the head and body seems a bit thin. I was concerned it would rip easily with my dog playing with it. He has been playing with it quite regularly for the past five days, and to my surprise no rips or tears as of yet.I wasn’t quite sure I wanted to put treats in the pockets, for fear my dog will just shred the legs to get the treats and he may swallow some of the toy doing so. My dogs are always supervised with their toys so I decided to try it out. He did not try and chew the treats out, he just shook the toy quite rapidly and all the treats went flying out, then he was on the hunt. He was having a blast!Regardless if you use it as intended by filling the pockets with treats, or just letting your dogs play with it like a normal dog toy, it’s a really cute and fun toy. My dog really enjoys it either way.

    Cute

This giraffe toy is adorable. It has a bunch of hidden pockets in the legs for hiding treats. My two dogs love it! The treat pockets work pretty well, it takes them a little bit to get the treats out, so it is a great way to get them to engage with it for a while. It seems like a pretty durable material, but I think my dogs will eventually be able to destroy it, although it still looks pretty good after a few uses.

Very cute take on snuffle mat toys

My two felines (instead of canines!) really like this snuffle mat toy. They enjoy the challenge of the snuffle mat section. There’s a challenge and joy for them even in trying to get to their normal kibble.Apart from the snuffle mat, there are also pockets in the two “arms” (not the legs). For dogs, those would be a nice place for a larger biscuit or treat, and an added challenge since these arms can be folded over, and even closed with hook and loop closure (“Velcro”).My only criticism of the toy is that I don’t know how to wash it. I looked for, but was unable to find washing instructions. With it being in touch with food and pets’ mouths, it would be helpful to know how to clean it.

    Adorable snuffle Mat

This little Heffer pal keeps our boy busy as a farmer. It’s a nice size that we can hide a small handful of treats and that will get about 15 min of play before he turns on the cow for not producing more treats. It is durable enough that it’s withstood quite a few betrayals and is still going strong.

Still on table and falling apart.

Dog got it for two minutes while I went to get the scissors to cut off the tags, and pieces started coming off. I love their products normally but this is absurdly poorly constructed.

    Durable and engaging

This toy has been a fantastic addition to my dog’s playtime. The quality is impressive. It’s well-made and durable, which is a relief because my dog hasn’t been able to rip it apart, and hopefully he doesn’t. He absolutely loves it, and it’s great to see him so engaged. The interactive puzzle aspect of the toy provides excellent mental stimulation and enrichment, making it more than just a chew toy.

    large and well built

This is actually large and Great Dane approved. It’s cute, sturdy, and durable. He tears up toys easily, yet this one is still intact. He doesn’t really get the snuffle part but is enjoying the toy anyway. Come to think of it, perhaps it’s still intact because he likes it as a cuddle toy. Eiter way, he seems happy with it and so am I. My other dog doesn’t care for it, but he typically doesn’t get excited for toys.

    Love it

My dog loves this snuffle toy. I hide treats in it and she enjoys finding them. The lion toy also has a squeaker in the head portion that she enjoys too. She usually destroys toys pretty quickly but this has held up surprisingly well, even with playing tug (since it also has a rope) on occasion.

    This pig is adorable

I absolutely love this snuffle mat. It’s adorable and well made. I love that you can close the legs up and your dog can pull them apart. The top two legs have pockets you can hide additional treats in.The head does have a squeaker, which my squeak obsessed pup loves! The back is a nice non slip texture, so it didn’t slide all over my floor while my pup was using it.Definitely ordering more of these, I need them all!

    Huge

I was definitely not expecting this dog toy to be as big as it is, which is my fault for not reading the measurements. My dog is tiny so it looked funny with her, but she loved it anyway. You can hide treats on the toy’s “paws” and inside the maze of the toy’s belly. The back of the toy is rubber so it doesn’t slide that easily on hard surfaces. Very well made and sturdy.

    Cute product.

Cute product, well made. unfortunately, my sweet dog will not play with it or try getting out the treat hidden inside the layers. Oh well, I’m sure there is a dog somewhere that will enjoy it.

    Instant favorite!

This has quickly become my pup’s favorite way to eat his food! The arms add an extra level of difficulty and he can toss it around without food flying everywhere (until he opens the arms of course 😅)

Great for hiding treats, but won’t last long

I loved the way I could hide treats shallowly or deeply in the twists of this troll. I loved it so much I bought another for a friend’s dog, thought he’d enjoy it. If I had reviewed this yesterday, it would be five stars. But today I’d give it a lower rating, three stars. Why? Because it’s bad enough that my dog can rip the hair off the troll, but even worse that she was able to nearly decapitate him already, after only having this for just over a week. It is designed for tugging and extracting treats. It’s a dog toy, for Pete’s sake. It needs to be made more durable. The neck tore open already.Puppy 1, troll 0. He is going to my dog toy hospital for repairs, if it’s possible to repair him well enough, but I anticipate he’ll be in and out of the hospital repeatedly when he tangles with this dog again… sigh. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

    Pup likes it

It’s difficult for me to place cookies into this without breaking them. My dog Rocky is a 14lb aussiedoodle, and she has a difficult time getting the treats out. This ended up just being another toy for her. She enjoys it.

I didn’t even need to put treats in it. It’s funny but our dogs love it. I am not sure how it will work with treats because our dogs carry it around and play!

Cutest things ever for my pups

I got two of these cute chick snuffle mats for my dogs. I hide cat kibble for a treat in them and it takes them quite awhile to find them all. They are sturdy and wash great. good and fun purchase.

Great toy that didn’t hold up.

My two little Pappillions love this toy, but they made a hole in the fabric and had stuffing coming out the first time they used it. This is too bad because it’s a great idea and like I said my pups really enjoy getting the treats out of it.

    Best snuffle toy!

Highly recommend this snuffle toy. Love the smaller size for my 20lb dog, she can shake and play with it too (the head has a large squeaker). It’s adorable and lots of fun for her to find kibble or other treats in, perfect for rainy days or to keep her busy while working a bit .

    Keeps the pooch engaged!

It’s hard to find a toy that will keep a dog busy for any amount of time, but this one hits the mark. It’s a perfect size for any size dog too.there are multiple nooks & crannies to hide little pieces of kibble or treats that present a fun challenge for your furry friend. It’s well-made, durable, & machine washes beautifully! And the head squeaks too!

Well made toy, and our dog along with her doggie friend, had a great time playing with it for treats, on a boring rainy day. I didn’t think it would occupy them for as long as it did.

    Great new treat puzzle

The media could not be loaded.

This little guy loves plush toys, but he kills them pretty fast. This one with treats in the folds is just as fun, and he doesn’t need to destroy it to get good stuff out of it.

lasted a little over a month

my dog is older – 11 y/o and not a chewer. she loved this toy except within a few weeks the seams in the pockets didnt last/the seams tore, so the treats do not stay inside the octopus “legs” anymore.

My dogs love this toy, I use it everyday when I leave them alone.

You can fit a great amount of small treats in this toy. I thought it would be smaller when I got it – my dogs are 4 and 7lbs each. This toy is the size of my 4lb dog but she absolutely loves this thing. It keeps them busy for a little bit. They have to work to find the treats and free them to eat. I may get a second one since I have two pups. I love getting interaction type toys for my dogs to stimulate their brain and provide them a reward and this line of toys is amazing!

    durable but size is large

The size of the circle is 9in diameter. rather large for a 9lb puppy. He still enjoys it, but takes up lots of space. I had wanted something smaller as I don’t want to hide that many treats.

    A Puzzling Delight

I do not write a lot of product reviews, but I felt compelled to leave one for this food puzzle. It really exceeded my expectations. I thought it seemed a bit on the simple side (certainly simple to load the treats), but my dog Bandit went at it for about 7 minutes before getting his first treats and he continued to play and work to get all his treats for much longer than that. Not sure how well it would work for dogs who like to destroy stuffed animals, but for Bandit it was perfect! He even snuggled it when taking breaks <3

    Great toy but…

I love this toy. My 12 mo old pup loves it and since her food kibble is a bit small for her to dig out, I love the bonding we gain when I bend it for her to get the kibble. But… when she played with it, the fabric on the unicorn’s horn was easily torn. I pulled the stuffing from her mouth. The fabric to the rest of the toy is just fine. We’ve had this toy two days. I’m heartbroken. The idea of this toy is fabulous. Please use a different fabric for this toy. I will buy again.

She Wouldn’t Even Notice If We Left The House

We filled each of the 3 pockets of the green corn husk & tossed the toy to the floor. Our dog didn’t notice us or anyone else for the next half hour. She had to figure out how to open the green parts and – to our surprise cuz we really didn’t remember – she made it squeak when she chomped on the yellow corn! She’s 10 1/2 years old but you wouldn’t know it from how she played. We just ordered the octopus toy too – this is a great way to get her to exercise without being in the heat or having to play too. Sometimes Mommy needs a time out!

    Love this!

I have a six month old puppy & he has already chewed the ears off but overall it’s a great toy. I put treats down inside of it which don’t last long because he is very smart so he gets the treats pretty fast but it does keep his attention span for that little bit of time Highly recommend!

    Eh

I liked the idea behind this toy. However, for my dog the execution was a failure. Instead of trying to tease the snacks out of the pocket, she simply sat and chewed on the legs where the pockets were.

    Dog Toy

Our dog is pretty hard on toys so if you have a more gentle dog this review might be a little harsh. On the plus side it was super cute and the treat compartments kept our dog busy and interested. The bad side is, it’s just not very durable. Within a few days she had already ripped most of the treat compartments so that part of it was unusable. Within a few days after that she had ripped off the legs and we ended up tossing it. I liked the idea and thought it was cute, just not strong enough for our dog.

    Great fun for my pup

My dog is always excited when he gets a new toy. I put some treats inside and it didn’t take long for him to find them, so it gave him an activity for a little bit. It is a lot bigger than I thought, which is perfect for my Border Collie. The only problem is, it is not great for aggressive chewers, once he was done with the treats, he set out to rip the pieces off, so the poor cow is looking a bit ragged after a half hour. Great for a fun treat, so I will have to take it away, once he is done.

    very engaging!

My dog wanted this before I could even get it out of the box. He’s a dalmatian mix, and loves toys like this. First he finds the squeaker, then he focuses on finding the weakest part of the toy so that he can proceed to rip it apart. He was already working on that when I took it away and tucked some freeze dried liver treats into a few of the leg pockets — not all, just one in each leg (there are 3 or 4 pockets on each of the 4 floppy “legs”). That has totally changed his direction — he’sworking desperately to try to free those treats, which shouldn’t be hard, but without opposable thumbs it’s more difficult evidently. 20 minutes into the toy and he still hasn’t destroyed it! While it definitely isn’t indestructible (it does have stuffing inside), the treats in the pockets are keeping him busy rather than just trying to destroy the toy. Really a winner, although not truly the best for a mid-size to large extremely aggressive chewer. [Quick update: total destruction within 4 hours. Squeaker extracted, legs removed, stuffing everywhere. He really had fun though!]

    Cute

My dog didn’t really care for the puzzle part of this toy, she just loves her toys to chew on and play tug a war with. This one has good tug a war legs. But it isn’t the biggest toy. For the treats, there are pockets you can put treats in and then you can fold the legs up and there is velcro to keep the legs up. She didn’t really care to much for that. She did like the squeaker head though. She was very excited to get this toy, but hasn’t destroyed it yet.

Within ten minutes, she had stuffing fluff on her face

This Outward Hound Nina Ottosson Silly Legz Interactive Plush is very cute, but it wasn’t tough enough for our crew. Rory claimed it immediately, and in about ten minutes she was pulling out the stuffing. It’s what she does. It’s too bad there wasn’t a spiky ball in the middle! This toy should last longer for most dogs. Rory has skills when it comes to dog toy shredding! Overall, great toy.

    Good idea in theory…

This toy was a fun idea, especially for my blind dog, but it wound up being too messy. My dog bit the treats through the material, creating a crumby mess by the time she was able to unroll everything.

    Didn’t work for ours

The knots are very tight and placing tests was difficult but I figured it’d stretch with time. But the space was so small it really wasn’t enticing enough for our husky to bother with. She just was annoyed and didn’t even try. We’ve had much better luck making our own from fleece cut like a no sew blanket and tying it around treats.

Hide food or treats in the ruffles, allow your dog to have fun finding them.

Outward Hound Nina Ottosson Snuffle Palz Interactive Plush Dog Puzzle and Snuffle Mat for Dogs, Non-Slip Snuffle Mat, Dog Enrichment Toys, Plush, Cow, Brown, LargeFirst impressions: Nice looking dog toy, the sewing looks good. The seams are straight and there are no pulled threads that I can see. The material is thick, the ruffles in the middle are well attached.Installation/setup: Hide food or treats in the ruffles, allow your dog to have fun finding them.Final thoughts: Well, I’m not sure that went as planned. I was dogsitting my neighbor’s two English springer spaniels and decided to try this out. They are medium sized dogs and are just under a year old. I put some treats in the ruffles and closed the arms, attaching the velcro. It seemed to work pretty well until I turned my back, getting occupied with putting some treats in another toy. The bigger male took the whole mat outside through the doggie door and while I couldn’t see him, proceeded to tear the mat up into small pieces. It only took him about 5 minutes and it was in shreds. He left the arms on, shaking it to release the goodies, and tore the entire head off, leaving bits all over the ground of stuffing and fabric. I would have to say this is meant for much smaller dogs with less of a tendency to destruction. As the product page says, keep a close eye on your dog, I had no idea he was such a heavy chewer.⭐️1 star – I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars – I don’t recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars – It’s passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars – Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars – Product that I totally recommend.
