At Family Veterinary Mobile Clinic, our goal is to revolutionize the delivery of veterinary services by nurturing relationships with pets, clients, employees, colleagues, and communities. Rather than seeing other practices as competition, we collaborate with other veterinary services in our community to ensure that every patient receives the best possible care. Our relationships inspire the change that is needed across the industry and benefits the entire pet-loving community. Read more here.
Veterinary Services
We provide veterinary preventative care, behavior medicine, and chronic disease management from a whole health perspective, with a focus on the relationship between pets and their families. Our personal veterinary service means that, when you work with us, you’re working with a team that treats your pets like family. We can do anything that is usually done in a veterinary clinic exam room, in the comfort of your home.
Our relationship-based care starts with a thorough consultation with you and a comprehensive Fear Free examination. From there, we talk about concerns discovered during the consult and/or exam, and develop a reasonable wellness or illness treatment plan.
We deliver individually-tailored vaccinations on a science-based schedule. We use the safest vaccinations available (PureVax only for cats) and never over-vaccinate.
Our team helps you optimize each of your pet’s physical, nutritional, behavioral, environmental, and relational health so your dog or cat lives their best life with your family for as long as possible.
We are fear free for humans also! Our cost-effective wellness plans allow you to choose your pet’s optimal level care that makes sense for your family and best fits your budget.
One day per month, Dr. Meghan, Chelsea, and Jael see our patients at Small Animal Emergency Services in Vass. We have facilities to perform spays, neuters, mass removals, and other surgical procedures.
We use a national reference laboratory for wellness and diagnostic testing. Available tests include complete blood counts, chemistry profiles, endocrine testing, PCR for diseases, histopathology, cytology, and more. Most results are available within 1-2 business days.
We can take xrays and perform abdominal ultrasounds on a non-emergency basis once monthly at Small Animal Emergency Services in Vass.
To become a veterinary client, please complete a New Client Form as well as a New Patient Form for each of your pets. After we have the forms and have obtained your pets records, we’ll contact you to schedule your appointment(s).
Training and Behavior Services
The foundation to good behavior is training. Jael, our Certified Animal Behavior College and Fear Free dog trainer, conducts private in-home training, as well as group courses for Puppy Right Start and Adult Basic Obedience. Read more about our upcoming courses.
Behavior treatment is for pets with fear, anxiety, stress, or aggression. We treat the root cause of the problem using multiple science-based techniques to improve your pet’s emotional state. Learn more here.
Frequently-Asked Questions
We ask that you confine your pets inside in and area where they can not hide or escape prior to our appointment. Bathrooms work well for cats. We will set up inside your home and talk with you about your pets first. You may notice us offering your pets treats to help them relax and have positive associations with us. Once we are ready, we’ll examine and treat each pet. After the exam and any procedures, we’ll discuss the results with you and develop a plan for their continued care. We schedule the next visit with you at the end of the appointment.
Yes. By “in your home” we mean in your living room, dining room, kitchen…wherever your pet is most comfortable. All we require is a temperature-controlled INDOOR climate with access to electrical sockets, decent lighting, chairs for Dr. Meghan and Chelsea, and some room to work. Large dogs are fine on the floor; we can usually sit cats and small dogs next to us on a sofa or chair (if they’re allowed on the furniture).
Our appointment hours are:
Mondays and Thursdays:
11 am – 6 pm
Tuesdays and Wednesdays:
10 am – 6 pm
We do not see patients on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
We perform x-rays, ultrasounds, and minor surgeries at Small Animal Emergency in Vass one Wednesday every month. Contact us for our surgery schedule.
New veterinary clients need to complete a New Client Form and a New Pet Form for each pet. We also require all previous records for your pets. Once we have all the information, we’ll contact you to schedule your pets’ appointments.

Our practice only provides comprehensive preventive care for families who want to optimize their pet’s overall health. We only administer rabies vaccines in conjunction with a wellness package, which includes a full exam, all vaccines your pet needs, fecal parasite test, and a heartworm test for dogs. The price starts at $219 plus the house call fee. If you just want a rabies shot, there are plenty of rabies clinics available for you to take your pet.
No, we work with your pets for only behavior and/or training through referrals from other veterinarians, if you prefer to keep your regular vet. We’re more than happy to help!
Unfortunately, we don’t have a mobile veterinary vehicle, just Dr. Meghan’s personal Jeep Wrangler. So no, that won’t work at all! Keep watching our site–we might expand our service area at some point in the future.
We can take cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit. We do not accept checks. You can take advantage of our automatic monthly payment option for our Right Start Puppy and Kitten Packages, and for our Plus, Premium, and Ultimate Wellness Packages.
Unfortunately we do not provide dental care at this time. We refer pets to our fantastic colleagues who take care of your pets according to our own high standards.
Absolutely! Everyone at Family Veterinary Mobile Clinic is Certified Fear Free, which means we take extra special care of our patients who are anxious, nervous, or even aggressive toward veterinary care. We can provide medications for you to administer prior to our visit to help your pet relax. If they are still too anxious, we can fully sedate them. What we will NEVER do is wrestle your pet or force them to submit because we LOVE animals and would never treat them that way! Jael, our Animal Behavior Consultant and trainer, can help solve any behavior problem, even if your pet is just nervous about vet care and/or grooming. She also does basic training for puppies and adult dogs so your pet can get off to the right start!
Making the decision to euthanize a beloved family member is never easy. We want to help families through this process as much as possible. That means knowing and understanding your family as well as having a deep understanding of your pet’s condition. When we all come to the conclusion that euthanasia is the right choice, it should be carried out with honor and caring. We made the decision to limit our euthanasia service to families we know so that each and every one is done with the knowledge and compassion that all families deserve.
If you have any other questions about us or our services, please feel free to contact us. We’ll get back to you by the end of the next business day.
